Stop by Thursday at 6pm for some technique drills and intervals.
All classes begin with a warm-up and skills portion, conducted inside the gym and then follow with the workout performed outside, weather permitting.
Workout
4 x 800m.
For each interval, rest as long as the run took you.

Voila!
One quick note, the pacing for this WOD will be based off of your 5K mile pace. So, if you run a 5K at 7 minute miles, you should be running these 800s at 3:30 *or less*.
eddie are you going tonight?
Sadly, I’m going to miss this one. I’m going to try a Central Park Track Club workout this evening. 3 x 2 miles at ascneding pace for each set! I’ll post my times and thoughts here.
i’ll be there tonight!
Teddy west side totally bailed.
I on the other hand did show up
3:02, 3:08, 3:05, 3:03
Stayed for isabel. Not one my better ideas.
CP Track club was absolutely brutal and totally humbling. I was convinced, against my better judgment, to try and run with the faster group (39min and under 10k time) and doing so wrecked any shot I had of doing this workout successfully. I managed to the first two miles in 13:55, but the goal was to keep upping the speed. My next two miles were at about 14 minutes, but the last two were pure and utter hell. I barely finished at 16 minutes for the final two miles. BLech.
Kinda last minute but there’s a “barefoot nyc meetup”
run at central park today Sunday at 10:30 AM
Meet at 90th and Central Park on the east side,
near the entrance to the Reservoir (top of the steps).
Beginner’s welcome.you don’t have to be barefoot, its
more of a vibram and nike free running group.
But I hear barefoot is where its at, you can always rock huarache sandals.
