Do you struggle with Rx weight in workouts?

Were your dreams of destroying the CrossFit Games Open frustrated by heavy cleans, overhead squats, or thrusters?

Do you wish you had more opportunities to play with badass toys like yokes, tires, atlas stones, and logs?

Are your athletic goals littered with references to your puny strength numbers?

Are you interested in competing in powerlifting or strongman?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, our STRENGTH program is right for you!

STRENGTH is a 90-minute specialty class devoted to developing your raw strength and power with a combination of powerlifting, strongman training, and speed and power development techniques. In short, we’ll be lifting heavy shit, and breaking out all the toys!

For all athletes, we suggest a minimum 1 month commitment to this program; for best results plan on at least 3 months of training.

Group Class Schedule

Class meets Monday and Wednesday from 7-8:30pm, and Friday from 6-7:30pm. Missed classes can be made up as an uncoached session on Sundays during our Open Gym session, or any weekday during Lab Hour.

Strong people are harder to kill than weak people, and more useful in general.

Getting Started

CrossFit Athletes
$50/month with existing membership.

CrossFit athletes can benefit greatly from incorporating STRENGTH into their program. Should you choose to do this, we highly recommend that you commit to a regular schedule and frown upon dabbling. Our STRENGTH coach Rob will advise you how best to combine CrossFit with STRENGTH.

Any Level 2 CrossFit athlete is welcome to attend: you can get started with any Monday at 7pm. Simply send an e-mail to or stop by the office to enroll in the STRENGTH program. You use your existing membership for STRENGTH classes (there is a $50 surcharge per month to participate in this program.)

Experienced Lifters

Athletes with prior powerlifting and/or strongman experience may begin any Monday at 7pm. You don’t need to be a master, but you should be familiar with the lifts and have a firm grasp of the basics (e.g. squatting, deadlifting.)

Novice Lifters
Begin with 3 private intro sessions: $300.

If you’re new to lifting weights, we ask that you complete three private introductory sessions before proceeding to group class. These sessions will teach you the basics of STRENGTH and ensure that you are successful in the group setting!
