I gotta work out. I keep saying it all the time. I keep saying I gotta start working out. It’s been about two months since I’ve worked out. And I just don’t have the time. Which uh..is odd. Because I have the time to go out to dinner. And uh..and watch tv. And get a bone density test. And uh.. try to figure out what my phone number spells in words.

Hell’s Bells
Turkish Get-up + Overhead Squat
3, 3, 3, 3, 3 each arm

5 rounds for time of:
10 Burpees
20 Double-unders

Heavy Metal
Overhead Squats
15, 15, 15, 15

5 rounds for time of:
10 Burpees
20 Double-unders

Gym-Nasty
Weighted Step-ups
10, 10, 10, 10, 10 each leg

    struggled with left arm a bit. Right arm felt strong and could have gone heavier.

    hotel had an awful jump rope. Can prob cut a min off this with a speed rope. This was a straight up hardcore metcon.

    inspired by Joey’s meticulous report…

    did TGUs instead of overhead squats lest my shoulders implode in a fit of dislocations. ended with 50s.

    watched in frightened awe as Dave the Crossfit Robot from the Future Sent Back To Kill Us All over head squatted 205 again and again and again.

    the workout – 5:17. my double unders got me there. burpees were steady.

    I definitely need to train for sectionals. I’m not sure how many people actually managed to register without getting waitlisted. I’ve heard from a couple guys that the men’s competition is oversubscribed.

    I DO know that the women’s competition was not full when I registered a couple days ago. So, ladies, STEP UP!

    Also, a little bird told me there may be some dedicated sectional training classes coming soon…

    Yeah watching Dave Lipson workout is sort of like watching porn…on one level you think “I can do that” and on another level, you know damn well that guy is in another league.

    Oh that burpees/double under workout took me 5:54. I think I would have faired better had I had any sleep the night before…and was magically turned into Dave Lipson in my sleep.

    Damn – I sucked at the burpee double under workout. I’ll go ahead and blame it on working out alone, poor jump rope, and distracting meatheads doing curls in the mirror.

    Can’t wait for sectionals training!
