Thursday is “Ladies’ Night” here in Brooklyn, but that doesn’t mean men aren’t invited. Everyone’s welcome to come down and test their luck with one of CrossFit‘s special “Girls.” The Girl workouts are benchmarks which we use to test our athletes and measure our results against other CrossFitters around the world.
Why girl names? Coach Glassman says, “Anything that leaves you flat on your back looking up at the sky asking ‘WTF happened to me?’ deserves a female name.” Adjust your expectations accordingly!

Note to all paleo challengers:
We will be running the required benchmark workouts (1RM deadlift; 21-15-9 air squats / burpees) as the WOD all day on Tuesday. The registration deadline will be extended to Tuesday for this purpose!
If you haven’t done the benchmarks yet I recommend you wait and just do ‘em Tuesday!
6:46 Rx’d, this is a negative 35 second pr, but I’ll take it since my shoulder is still in tact and actually didnt hurt. Some reps were not below parallel, look forward to doing this one again soon to make sure all reps are clean and trying to beat my old pr!!
