Perfer et obdura; dolor hic tibi proderit olim.
Be patient and tough; some day this pain will be useful to you. All change is associated with a certain level of discomfort or pain. As we grow and evolve we must constantly struggle against what is comfortable and what is easy. We push ourselves to be better than our past and move into a brighter future. It is far too easy to sit and watch people exercise on tv than it is to get up and go for a run or go and workout but the effort is rewarded. It is always rewarded. We all struggle to get through school; we struggle to get through our jobs; we struggle and struggle. However, our patience and perseverance always pays off. Edison said, “I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.” If we wish to be great (and we all do), then we must not quit and we must not stop even if it is painful because one day that pain will be useful to us.
