:: What Is The CrossFit Team Series? ::
The Team Series tests the fitness of four-person teams, two men and two women.
It starts Sept. 8, with the release of multiple team workouts. Teams will have six days to get together, complete the work, and submit their scores before the deadline: 5 p.m. PT, Sept. 14. Less than a month later, CrossFit will release the final set of team workouts, which will take place Oct. 6-12.
:: When will my team be able to do the workouts at CFV? ::
We will be running the workouts during all classes on the following dates:
Week 1 — Wednesday 9/9, Thursday 9/10, Friday 9/11, Saturday 9/12
Week 2 — Wednesday 10/7, Thursday 10/8, Friday 10/9, Saturday 10/10
To be an official team, all four members of your team will have to attend on all four of those dates! If there’s a date that you can’t make, you will be able to make up one of the workouts on Sunday of the week in question during Open Gym time.
:: What will the workouts be? ::
The workouts haven’t been released yet, so we don’t know! But you can get an idea from last year’s workouts, available here: https://games.crossfit.com/teamseries/#/year/2014/series/1/events/1
:: Can I scale the workouts? ::
Yes, there are Rx and scaled divisions. You should try to form a team of all scaled or all Rx athletes. There is also a masters division — all athletes on a masters team must be 40+.
:: How much does it cost? ::
Registration is $80 per team ($20 per person.) This lets you sign up your team on the CrossFit Team Series website and compare yourselves to teams across the world!
:: Do I have to register? ::
It’s more fun if you do! But if you can’t swing it, you’ll be doing the workouts during class anyway with a more impromptu team.
