The training kicks off January 2014 with a foundational weekend designed to lay the groundwork for success during the first 3-month apprentice period. Topics such as principles of good coaching, self/development and assessment, clear communication, and seeing and correcting will be covered.

Throughout the quarter students will assist open level classes at CrossFit Virtuosity, complete regular homework assignments and practicum hours, and practice teaching with an assigned partner.

Finally, each student will wrap up this module by presenting a short class in front of their teachers and peers.

I have been CrossFitting for many years now, mostly on my own. I got my level 1 a bunch of years ago, and I do enjoy helping teach others about good movement, proper mechanics, and WHY they are important, and talking about the methods and mentality to approach different workouts. I have shared my passion for crossfit with many other friends and family as well. I enjoy crossfit on my own, but on occasion have done some WODs with others as well. I am interested in becoming a better teacher and improving upon my explanation, delivery and of course my watchful eye and observation as well as gaining better cues to help others, etc.
I would like to know more about this program and what exactly the commitments are, before I make a committment, to ensure that this would fit into my alreay busy schedule. I have 2 young children and if I can make it work I would love to.
Please send me a follow up email with a more detailed explanation of the ins and outs and committments for this program.
    I appreciate it.
    Regards,
    Anton Gross
