On Sunday, January 3rd we will be devoting all Level 2 classes to completion of the CrossFit Total.
The CrossFit Total is the sum of the best of three attempts at the squat, the press, and the deadlift, the three most effective lifts in existence for developing and testing functional strength. It is somewhat similar to the lifts tested at a powerlifting meet, but we test the strict press instead of the bench press.
The Total takes a little longer than your standard WOD, so plan on being in class for 90 minutes or so. We will be running it with a rolling start every 30 minutes from 10am-12:30pm. This means that you can show up at 10, 10:30, 11, 11:30, 12, or 12:30 to complete the warm-up, review the rules, and start squatting.
