On Sunday, September 8th, at 10am, 11am, and noon we’ll be throwing a workout / fundraising extravaganza in support of our Steve’s Club NYC program! All donations go directly to training specific kids and teens in tough neighborhoods to get them off the streets and into CrossFit. This is a great cause and should be a lot of fun!
Step One: Find A Workout Buddy
This is a partner competition – each team will consist of 2 athletes (M/M, F/F, M/F, Youth/M, Youth/F, Youth/Youth.) If you have a special someone in mind, show up with them. If you don’t, you can join as an individual and we’ll match you up with a partner.
Step Two: Raise Some Money
We ask that each participant contribute a minimum of $25. Please make your donation at our Razoo donation page.
Beat the Streets will take place in lieu of regularly scheduled 10am, 11am, and noon classes, but you will not be charged for a class to participate, so please give generously!
Stage Three: Complete the Workout
Show up for any class time on Sunday, September 8th to get in on this hot workout action —
2-Person Teams, AMRAP in 15 minutes:
- 10 reps Shoulder to Overhead (115lbs/75lbs)
- 25 reps Deadlifts (115lbs/75lbs)
- 50 reps Box Jumps (24″/20″)
Each athlete must perform 5 reps (and no more), before the next athlete can start their 5 reps. Athletes will continue to alternate 5 reps throughout the WOD. Only one athlete per team may be working at a time. The score is the total number of reps in 15 min.
