Coach Fernando (Fefi) started his CrossFit journey in 2015 at a small local gym in his native Brazil. He was looking for something to help him lose weight, and found not only that, but a community of amazing people that he carries with him to this day.

He began to spend so much time at the gym that he was asked to begin working there as a manager.

In December 2021 he moved to NYC, and joined CrossFit Virtuosity in 2023. After a little encouragement to help overcome his trepidation about coaching, he began teaching classes in 2024. He still finds coaching challenging, but has grown to love sharing his passion for CrossFit with our great community.

Helping people to achieve their goals and having the chance to guide people toward seeing that they can do more than they thought they could makes him really happy.

When he’s not at the gym, you can find Fefi taking in a Broadway show, singing, exploring new restaurants, and spending time with friends.
