Brooklyn Barbell Club Powerlifting Mock Meet
The Brooklyn Barbell Club is excited to announce our very first powerlifting meet! This is a mock meet designed to be accessible to the relatively novice weightlifter. This is a free event for current members: please sign up on one of the registration sheets on the L2 / lifting area whiteboards on or before THIS Sunday 1/17!

January 30th: The Virtuosity Coaching Program - Level 1
We're excited to announce our first coaching course of 2016! If you've ever wanted to peek behind the curtain and see what it takes to be a Virtuosity coach, this course is for you! If you're interested in coaching as a career, this is an excellent first step towards that goal.
February 6th: Skills & Drills: Prepping for the Open
Did you have to scale last year's CrossFit Games Open because of handstand push ups, muscle-ups, or toes-to-bar? Do you think you could have improved your scores if your movement had been more efficient? Our Skills & Drills series is designed to help you do you very best on all the workouts this year.
Wednesday January 6th: 2016 New Year's Whole30 Challenge
It's the new year... it must be time for another Whole30 challenge! We're tossing the sugar, grains, and alcohol and getting in a good long stretch of clean livin' -- join us!We're mixing it up a little this time by offering you levels at which to participate: beginner, Rx, and Rx+. If you've never done a Whole30 before, stick to beginner -- trust us, it'll be challenging enough! If you've done a Whole30 once or twice before, take a stab at the Rx. If you're ready to get super serious, check out Rx+.
Holiday Season Schedule Changes
Please note the following changes to our class schedule over the holiday season!
Sunday January 3rd: CrossFit Total
On Sunday, January 3rd we will be devoting all Level 2 classes to completion of the CrossFit Total. The CrossFit Total is the sum of the best of three attempts at the squat, the press, and the deadlift, the three most effective lifts in existence for developing and testing functional strength.
Holiday Workout & Party!
This Friday, December 18th, we'll be doing a holiday-themed workout all day, and celebrating at night! Please join us during any class for the workout, and stop by the party generously hosted by Justin and Rudy afterwards!
